Hey! How About Some Privacy?

What is going on here? Just because I'm a cat, does that mean I want pictures taken while I'm taking a bath. I don't think so.

Hi, this is Missy again. It's Saturday and I'm filling in for Boo. We are both waiting for our female person to return home from the vet. I really miss sleeping on the bed with her. I heard she might be home Monday or Tuesday. I hope so.

Return of Jedi Kitty

Don't let the green lightsaber fool you. I'm definitely on the dark side!

My male person says that I have an evil but cute look in this picture because of my eyes. I'm not sure what he means. The only reason my eyes were open at all is because he disturbed my sleep with that camera flash of light. He's lucky this lightsaber is just a toy.

Don't Even Think About It

No one better even think about messing with my toy. If they do they could lose a hand or a paw. I hope you don't think I'm joking.

I've caught Missy playing with my toy lately. That's starting to get on my nerves. She needs to stick to sleeping, not playing. If she doesn't leave it alone I may have to teach her a lesson.

Very Tired

It's Saturday and I'm back. It's me, Missy the Maine Coon. Boo is busy eating.

I don't really have much to say. As you can see I am very tired. I've been sleeping a lot and waiting for our female human to get back from the vet. My male person says it will probably be another week or so. If I sleep as much as I can, the time will go faster.

Still Eating

With the female human at the vet -- I mean the hospital -- I was naturally afraid that my male person would forget to feed me. Fortunately I have this handy feeder that has plenty of food in it. So far he has been doing well and hasn't forgotten my Fancy Feast.

Plus, last night the humans had chicken. This time when I showed up to get a few pieces my male human gave me some right away. He learned his lesson from last time.

I'll Miss This Spot

Here I am sitting on my female human's leg. It's a comfortable spot. But today she goes to the hospital -- that's kind of like going to the vet for humans. I hear she won't be back for at least a week. I will miss her and her leg. But I'll be waiting to greet her when she gets home.

Snug

What, me spoiled? I don't know what you are talking about. It was chilly the other night and my female human thoughtfully covered me with this nice warm blanket.

The only thing better than a nice nap in my chair, is a nice warm nap snug in a blanket.

Black Statue

My people call this a statue position. They seem to be fascinated by the way cats sit and lie down. I'm not really sure why.

They said I looked like a decoration on the table. Hmm, I guess I should take that as a compliment. I was just sitting there minding my own business -- unlike the humans.

Beware of Jedi Kitty

Sometimes just acting cute isn't enough to defend my chair. That's why I often sleep with my trusty lightsaber. Anyone that tries to move me will be in deep trouble!

Ha, I'm just kidding. I'm not really a jedi, and I can't use that lightsaber. It's too big for my paws. Anyway, I don't need one since I have long sharp claws -- and I know how to use them! That lightsaber is a toy that belongs to my boy human. Sometimes he leaves his things in my chair.

Morning Sun

A black cat soaks up the morning sun. That black cat is me! Almost every morning, if it is sunny, I find a sunbeam on the bed. That way I can combine three of my favorite things: my bed, napping, and sunbeams.

And I usually have my bed all to myself in the morning. The humans are up, and Missy doesn't like sunbeams. She is very strange. She likes it cold and windy, the kind of days that freeze your paws off.

My Favorite Toy

Here I am tearing it up. I do that a lot. This toy is the greatest. If you can't tell from the picture, it is a mouse with a really long tail.

I've had this toy since I was a kitten. The humans brought it with us when we moved last year -- even though they said it was old and dirty. They may not be too smart, but even they knew it was my favorite toy and they had to bring it.

This toy is so much fun that even Missy sometimes plays with it. And she hardly ever plays at all! Not that I like her playing with my toy. It's actually pretty annoying.

Guardian of the Litter

Here I am, standing guard over a brand-new tub of litter. There's nothing like fresh litter! It's fun to dig in, kick around, play with, and well, go in.

Fortunately my people provided me with this cool, flexible cave to hide in. They call these things "bags." This one is great, because it is made of paper. As any cat will tell you, paper is great for sitting on. From this cave I can keep watch over my new litter. If anyone tries to take it, I will strike!

What Are They Up To?

One thing I have found is that humans can be pretty interesting creatures. They are often doing things, and I feel it is my job to keep an eye on them. If I'm not sleeping, I keep a close watch on whatever they are up to. If necessary, I move in for a better look -- their business is my business.

I hope all other cats out there are keeping an eye on their humans. They need to be watched.

No, I'm Not Dead

I'm just napping. Can you believe that my people said I looked like a dead cat on the sofa? They should see what they look like when they're sleeping.

Also, they are just jealous because we cats can be comfortable in all sorts of positions. Sometimes you just have to flop.

I Like Chicken

Last night my people were having chicken for dinner. Well, the two male humans were. My female person doesn't like chicken -- doesn't like chicken!!! Can you believe that? I know, she is very strange. But anyway, I wanted some chicken. So I went over to my person and harassed him while he was eating. It should have been obvious what I wanted, but no, he didn't understand. He thought I wouldn't be interested because of the spicy crust on the chicken. Little did he know.

I could smell that chicken cooking. Who cared about the stupid crust? Finally, after I stood up and put my paws on the table and looked at him, he figured it out. He gave me a piece and I ate it. Then I went and took a nap. All I wanted was one piece. Humans are pretty slow sometimes.

What Are You Looking At?

No not you. I'm know you are looking at me. That's one reason I have this blog, so people can look at me. I'm meant my human -- the one that takes the pictures.

He's constantly pointing that camera at me and flashing the bright light in my eyes. I wish I could do that when he's busy with something. Maybe I'll just jump on him when he's asleep instead.

Deep Thoughts

I know; it looks like I'm sleeping. But I'm really thinking -- trust me. Here's what I was thinking. The humans say today is Memorial Day. From what I hear, lots of people fought and died to keep our country safe & free. I don't know much about wars, but we cats know about fighting to protect ourselves.

So I was thinking. This country is a pretty good country for cats. People don't eat us, and lots of them actually like us a lot. Some of them even rescue kittens who were abandoned like me, and give them nice homes. So from we cats in America, thanks to all the humans who died fighting to protect our country.

Window Watcher

There's always something happening outside this window. The backyard is full of birds, squirrels, and even rabbits. Sometimes birds fly right by the window. Missy and I both like to watch from here.

The last time a bird flew past I almost got him -- except for that screen thing in the window. That makes it difficult.

It's Missy Again

Hi, it's Saturday and that means it's time for another guest post from me, Missy. Boo asked me to fill in on Saturdays so she has a day off. The only problem is that I never know what to say.

Let's see. It is hot. Boo likes it hot, but I don't. In case you didn't notice, we Maine Coons have a lot of fur. You see that chair I'm sitting on in the picture? I'm not sitting on it now, because that spot is hot. Good hot weather spots are the floor, and under a fan. I hear that fan calling me now. Bye!

Plantless Planters

Look at that planter. It has nothing but dirt! All of our planters in the house right now have no plants. Why is that? I wonder if you can guess.

Well, I'll tell you. There are no plants because I killed them all. Ha ha ha!. My female human foolishly left plants where I could get at them. I bit chunks out of them and dug them up until they all died. Maybe they'll bring me some more soon.

Even without plants they are still nice to rub against though.
